Ruth Dávila
View original language description ↓
Ruth is a young woman, 23 years of age. She is married and lives in the town of Ticuantepe, which belongs to the city of Managua. Ruth has known since she was very young what it is to work in order to earn a living; her parents do not have much money and she has had to help support them. However, now that she is married, she must work for the survival of her own family.

She and her husband have not yet had any children. They work very hard so that when the day comes that they do have children, they will be able to give them a dignified life. Ruth’s husband works as a driver and, like her, contributes to the household expenses. Ruth has been selling clothing for the past nine years. She began the business with her own savings and it has grown little by little in the amount and variety of clothing that she has for sale.

The loan she is requesting will be invested in buying more clothing because she currently does not have much inventory. She hopes to buy more so that she can have better sales and thereby hold on to her customers.
