Rukhsana is 50 years old and works from home as a tailor. She has been in this line of work for 15 years now and is proud to be contributing to her household income. When Rukhsana was not earning, her family went through a severe financial crisis. That compelled her to use her stitching skills in a productive manner. Her husband was the sole breadwinner of the family and Rukhsana felt obligated to improve her family’s living standards and started working from home. She is a brave woman and hard work helped her establish a good clientele but she was having difficulty fulfilling large orders. That’s when her neighbor advised her to borrow from Kashf. She has requested a loan of 30000 PKR which will be used to purchase a new stitching machine, some thread and stitching material.

Kashf Foundation is one of the leading microfinance providers in Pakistan, focused on expanding financial access for poor women across the country.
