Mwikali is 21 years old, married to Antony and blessed with one child who is one month old. They live in their own house that has electricity and piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and medical expenses.
Mwikali operates a clothes selling business, selling women and gents suits in a shop. She cites seasonality and stiff competition from other clothes operators to be her major challenges.
With the Kshs 30,000, she wants to purchase bales of clothes for resale in her business. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
