Safargul, age 34, is divorced with one child. She is an intelligent woman who is suffering financial hardship due to the fact that her ex-husband does not pay enough support to adequately ensure her child's well-being.
For this reason, Safargul decided to start up a business. She pursued this goal by taking a course for women entrepreneurs called "To Get Ahead," which she completed, earning a certificate. She intends to organize a business offering computer services such as printing and copying.
Safargul is requesting a loan in the amount of 1,000 somoni in order to buy paper and a printer so that she can start up her business.

This loan is part of IMON International's startup loan program called Sarchashma ("spring" in the local language). Sarchashma loans are tailored to women who have feasible business ideas but lack the funds to get started. In addition to credit, these women also receive special training from the National Association of Business Women of Tajikistan to develop business plans. They also have the opportunity to participate in IMON's "Woman Entrepreneur, Get Ahead" program, a three-day intensive training course.
