Joselyne is a 34-year old hardworking single woman living in Fort Portal, Uganda. She sells fresh foods and also has a banana plantation. With the proceeds from her businesses she has been able to pay rent and buy land, despite challenges of perishability and lack of adequate capital. Her dream is to buy land for extensive farming and to venture into modern farming methods. Joselyne intends to use the loan to buy fresh foods to sell.

This loan is part of HOFOKAM's program targeting poor and geographically excluded populations in Western Uganda. In addition to loans, it provides social and business training programs to low-income entrepreneurs and their communities.
