Kayi, aged 36, lives in Lomé with her husband and her three children. Her husband is a teacher, and the children are 12, 8 and 6 years old. All three go to school.
In order to help provide for her family, Kayi has been reselling charcoal from home since 2004. She stocks up in Lomé and in towns located in the center of the country.
Eager to better meet her customers' needs, Kayi is requesting a first loan from WAGES. She will use this loan to buy some bags of charcoal. Her goal is to open a shop where she could sell charcoal, and to provide a better future to her family.
