Zainabu is a married woman with five children, all of whom attend school. She owns a house that neither has electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees.
For the past five years, she has operated a business selling soft drink fruit juices. She sells from home to her neighbours and passersby. She faces a challenge of seasonality and high cost of transporting raw materials.
With the KES 20,000 she wants to purchase sacks of fruits, mangoes, and passion fruits to make fruit juice to sell. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
