Leoniza is 49 years old, married, and has three children. She lives in Clarin, Misamis Occidental. She owns and operates a retail business to earn a living. She has been in her business for over six years and earns 9,000 PHP every month.
She has been a member of GDMPC since the year 2010. Now, she has requested a loan of 17,500 PHP. She will use the loan to purchase additional products to sell, like noodles, sugar, coffee, soap, shampoo and canned goods. In the future, she wants to make improvements to her house and improve the general living conditions of her family.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
