Age 37 and a peasant from Kandal Stoeung District of Kandal Province, Sokvy is a mother of five children. Four of her children are still in school. To deal with daily living expenses, she does rice cultivation while her husband works at a construction site for extra income. This is the second loan for Sokvy with VisionFund (Kiva’s partner). She is able to maintain a standard of living for her family. Now, she is seeking 1,200,000 KHR. She will use her loan to buy a plot of farmland for growing more rice.
