Ghada is a friendly and kind woman. She’s from Lebanon and is 54 years old. She’s divorced and living with her only parent and siblings. Ghada and her youngest brother are working really hard to provide the family with the needed income. Since she noticed that their income does not satisfy their needs, she decided to start her own business. She sells a wide variety of sportswear and sports equipment from which she earns a fair amount of money daily.
To better develop her work, she’s requesting a loan from Kiva partner Vitas s.a.l. She will be utilizing the loan to buy more merchandise for her business. This will allow her to offer a greater variety of products and thus, improve her income.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
