Yader Eulogio is a young man originally from a district located 20 km from the municipality of El Sauce, where there is no electricity service, just water drawn from rivers and springs.
He is the father of a daughter, whom he has tried to provide with the best living conditions. He has achieved this by working as a primary school teacher in the same community.
With the aim of improving his daughter's health, he is requesting a loan to pay for the costs of an operation, since she is going to have emergency surgery.
He is asking for support from the Kiva investors so that Ceprodel will provide him with this loan in order to pay these expenses. He can't cover them with his salary because they are too costly, and in this way he will be able to cure his daughter of the illness that she is suffering from.
This loan is administered by Centro de Promocion del Desarrollo Local (CEPRODEL), one of Kiva’s larger partners in Central America. Founded in 1991 and based in Managua, Nicaragua, CEPRODEL specializes in the development and funding of housing cooperatives for traditionally marginalized communities, the provision of microfinance services to small businesses, and the promotion of innovative renewable energy projects. In addition, unlike many microfinance institutions in the area that have chosen to avoid the rural areas of the country due to the increased financial risk, CEPRODEL provides financial services to numerous clients in the agriculture and livestock industry. Supporting a borrower through CEPRODEL means contributing to the promotion and sustainability of this important work in Nicaragua.
