Safargul
Safargul is a 48-year-old resident of Kulob and a married mother of six. She has three daughters and three sons. Her husband works abroad. Safargul's oldest daughter helps her mother with work and is learning to embroider. Two of Safargul's sons sell DVDs and SIM cards. Her other three children are in high school.

For 15 years Safargul has sewn and sold national dresses (chakan) and skullcaps. This craft has been passed down from generation to generation. Safargul learned to embroider from her mother. Now this craft is her profession and she is teaching her own daughter.

Safargul is requesting a loan to purchase an electric sewing machine in order to make her sewing easier and to save time. This will give her more free time to embroider skullcaps, which are sewn by hand.

Сафаргул жительница города Куляб. Ей 48 лет. Она замужем. Сафаргул является матерью шестерых детей. У нее трое дочерей и трое сыновей. Муж Сафаргул находится на заработках за рубежом. Старшая дочь Сафаргул помогает ей в ее деятельности и учиться вышивать. Двое ее сыновей занимается торговлей DVD дисков и мобильных сим-карт. Трое других детей учатся в средней школе.
Сафаргул на протяжении пятнадцати лет занимается шитьем национальных платьев (чакан) и тюбетеек для продажи. Это искусства переходит от поколения к поколению. Сама Сафаргул научилась вышивать у своей матери. Теперь она занимается этим видом деятельности и учит свою дочь.
Сафаргул берет кредит для приобретения электронной швейной машинки, чтобы легче была шить и сэкономить время. Таким образом у нее останется побольше свободной времени, чтобы вышивать тюбетеек, так как тюбетейки являются ручной работой.
