Anita is 57 years old, married, and has four children. She lives in Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur. She owns and operates a farm, planting and harvesting rice for sale, to earn a living. She has been in her business for over 10 years and earns 30,000 PHP every month.
She has been a member of GDMPC since the year 2009, and now she has requested a loan of 50,000 PHP. She will use the loan to purchase new crops and fertilizer, such as manure. She wants to make improvements to her house, and she wants to improve the general living conditions of her family, in the future.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
