Magdalena Del Rosario
Magdalena, 24, is single and lives in the city of Ica with her parents and her young daughter, whom she loves and who is her main reason for living. She is a very friendly, hardworking, and enthusiastic person who dedicates all of her efforts towards providing for her daughter, since she is both mother and father to her.

Unfortunately, due to a lack of resources and the need to begin working at a young age, Magdalena was not able to study a professional career in nursing as she would have liked. In her free time, she likes to play with her daughter and sometimes she cooks a delicious Carapulcra con Sopa Seca (a traditional Peruvian stew) to share with her family.

By her own initiative and with plenty of effort and dedication, Magdalena works in her small business selling lenses, frames, and sunglasses. She also has a taxi which she rents out to drivers so they can offer transport services in the city. She works every day for about 12 hours per day, and she believes that her work is going well because of the good prices and friendly service which she offers to her clients.

Magdalena is very grateful to the Kiva lenders because thanks to their help, she will be able to buy spare parts and perform essential maintenance on her taxi. Her taxi will then be in better condition, so she will be able to continue working and putting in effort to achieve her great dream of having an optician's shop and her own house.
