Jomar is 39 years old, married, and has two children. He lives in Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur. He sells crabs in the local community, which he has been doing for over six years. He earns 10,000 PHP every month.
Jormar is requesting a loan from GDMPC, which he joined in 2010, for 18,000 PHP, which he will use to purchase additional containers for crabs. In the future, he wants to make improvements to his house as well as improve the general living conditions of his family.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
