Manilyn is 29 years old, married with 2 children. She lives in Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur. She owns and operates a food vending stall where she sells things like like sea shells in the local community to earn a living. She has been in her business for over 3 years and earns 15,000 PHP every month. She joined GDMPC in the year 2012. And now she has requested a loan of 30,000 PHP to purchase additional sea shells to sell. In the future, She wants to make improvements to her house and to improve the general living conditions of her family.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
