America Esther
America, 42, is single and lives in the city of Pisco. She is a very kind, hard-working, enthusiastic person who has a great desire to get ahead. Unfortunately, due to a lack of economic resources and the need to work from a very young age to help her parents, America was unable to get a Business Administration degree as she would have liked. In her free time she enjoys sports and sometimes cooks a delicious chicken and rice to share with family.

On her own initiative and with much hard work and dedication, America runs a small grocery business out of her home where she works an average ten hours a day. She enjoys her work and believes business is going well because of her low prices and kindness to her customers.

America is very grateful to Kiva lenders because thanks to your help she will be able to renovate her house. She wants to buy construction materials such as cement, bricks, sand, paint and other supplies so she can do some construction work, cover the walls and paint her house. This will make America's house safer and give it the right conditions for her to continue working and striving toward her goal of making a good living.

About Housing Loans

Many poor families cannot afford housing that meets their needs. When you make a housing loan on Kiva, you give people access to flexible capital to obtain or improve their homes. Better housing means better health, sanitation, and even educational outcomes for children. A house can also be much more for entrepreneurs who run businesses out of their homes. In this way, housing and small business loans on Kiva share a common purpose: to alleviate poverty and enable families to enjoy more stable lives.
