Maritza Alejandrina
Maritza, 22, lives in the city of Ica, district of Parcona. She is a young woman with a contagious charisma and is determined to get ahead. Very early in the morning she begins her work as a hired hand on a farm in her city. With the income she earns she helps her mother cover household expenses. Things are going well for her, she believes, because she is responsible, and above all, makes every effort to do a good job.

Maritza is grateful for the support from Kiva lenders because thanks to them she can buy a gas stove and can get rid of the kerosene stove they have. Sometimes her mother has had accidents with the kerosene one, and Maritza wants to give her family a better quality of life. She will continue struggling and working to achieve her goal: "To get a university degree and have her own business".
