Jorge Luis
Jorge is a 44-year-old man. He lives in the city of Ica, in the district of Santiago, with his wife and his 16-year-old son, whom he loves and who are his main reason for living. He is a very friendly, hard-working, and enthusiastic person who puts all his effort into helping his family get ahead. Unfortunately due to a lack of economic resources and because he had to work from a very young age, Jorge could not study Civil Engineering as he wished to. In his free time he likes to watch educational programs on TV and he occasionally makes a delicious Cau Cau [tripe stew] to share with his family.

By his own initiative, with a lot of effort and dedication, Jorge has worked as a driver for ten years, offering taxi services in his city. He works every day from the early hours of the morning and he goes around the streets of the city in search of passengers. Jorge can work for approximately ten hours and he believes it is going well because of the kindness he shows to others.

Jorge is very grateful to Kiva lenders, since thanks to their help he will be able to do general maintenance on his car and buy paint and new tires for it, among other things. Jorge’s car will be in better condition and he will be able to continue offering his services. He wants to be able to achieve his great dream of having his own transportation business and thereby having a profession to pass on to his son.
