Teodora is 40 years old and married with four children. She lives in Calamba, Misamis Occidental in the Philippines. She owns and operates a motorcycle transport business in the local community to earn a living. She has been in her business for over four years and earns 9,000 PHP every month. Tedora has been a member of GDMPC since the year 2011, and now she has requested a loan of 12,000 PHP to purchase spare parts and new tires. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve and expand her business.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
