Virginia
View original language description ↓
Virginia is a member of the community bank Mujeres Valientes (Courageous Women), located in the street Guillermo Sisley 675 in the Calleria district in the Ucayali region of Peru. She is 60 years old and the mother of 3 children. Because her income was insufficient to meet her family's expenses, Virginia decided to start a replacement parts business with the first loan she received from Manuela Ramos, for 400 soles (Peruvian currency).

Now Virginia has her own store where she sells replacement parts for cars and motorcycles. She rises every morning at 7 AM to prepare breakfast for her children; later she spends the day tending to her business, until 8 pm, when she ends her work day.

With this loan for 3,500 soles which she will repay in 4 months, Virginia will buy spare tires, bearings, gears, etc.

Virginia continues achieving many successes in her business and satisfying the needs of her family. Although she already owns a well established business, she does not hesitate to drive herself to continue growing the business, and make herself the successful owner of a large business. She feels happy about the support Manuela Ramos provides to her business.
