For ten years, she's been buying and selling charcoal. She enjoys a strong reputation in this business and receives a lot of orders, mainly from Bamako.

With the rainy season approaching, her business is gearing up. She decided to join the loan program of Kiva's partner, Soro Yiriwaso, from which she's seeking her second loan. The first one was repaid without problems.

She intends to use this second loan to buy 80 sacks of charcoal from farmers. She will resell it retail and wholesale to a clientele comprising mainly heads of families and merchants coming from Bamako.

Thanks to this loan, she intends to turn a monthly profit of XOF 50'000 (ca US$ 100), to be used to help cover family expenses and repay the loan. She will invest the remainder in her business.
