Erlinda is 73 years old and married with three children. She lives in Clarin, Misamis Occidental. For over nine years, Erlinda has been a farmer who plants and harvests coconuts to earn a living. She earns 10,000 PHP every month and joined GDMPC in 2010.
Erlinda is requesting a 15,000 PHP loan to purchase chemicals for her farm. She plans to use the additional revenue generated with her loan to improve the general living conditions of her family.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
