Samyia
Ms. Samyia is 30 years old and a married woman; she is striving to meet the demands of her family members such as food, clothing, and health concerns. Her husband is employed in a private job but his income is not sufficient to meet the daily expenditures of the family.

Samyia started her business of sewing to contribute to the family income. She is well familiar with stitching techniques. She initiated her business with the support of Kashf Foundation; she took her first loan to buy a sewing machine. At present, she enjoys a great client list and has gained a lot of appreciation and popularity in her community. She requested a loan of Rs 25,000 to buy a stock of threads in different colors with packs of buttons, needles etc. Then she would be able to meet the demand of her customers without fail. She hopes to grow her business and dreams of giving a good and quality education to her children through all her hard work in her business.

About Kashf Foundation

Kashf Foundation is one of the leading microfinance providers in Pakistan, focused on expanding financial access for poor women across the country. The organization’s economic empowerment program has grown from 913 clients in 1999 to 284,653 clients as of May 2012, with a current outstanding portfolio of US$32 million.
