Kaneno is a widow with four children, all of whom attend school. She owns a house that has neither piped water nor electricity.
Kaneno operates a vegetable business, selling at the market to her local customers. She dreams of expanding her business in the future.
With the 20,000 KES she wants to purchase sacks of green vegetables, tomatoes, potatoes, onions, and carrots for resale. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
