Masika is a married woman, and she has six children, three of whom still attend school. She owns a house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is food for the family.
For the past 15 years, she has operated a coconut selling business, selling as a wholesaler to local neighbors. She faces a major challenge in the high cost of transportation in the business. Masika dreams of establishing a vegetable stall in the future.
With the 50,000 Kenyan shillings, she wants to purchase sacks of coconuts for resale. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
