Hamisi is a married man and has been blessed with six children, three boys and two girls. He owns a house that neither has electricity nor piped water. His greatest monthly expense is food for the family.
For the past the 10 years, he has operated a vegetable kiosk business, selling green vegetables, tomatoes and potatoes. He sells primarily to local neighbors. Hamisi dreams of expanding and establishing a shop in the future.
With the Kshs 25,000 loan, he wants to purchase sacks of cabbages, onions, potatoes and tomatoes. He decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost his business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
