Karen is 25 years old and lives in a small village called Vanashen in one of the southern regions of Armenia, Ararat. He lives with his wife, mother and little daughter.
Karen works at a local company and earns a monthly income which is hardly enough to cover the family's basic expenses.
To be financially secure, Karen, an economist by profession, runs a farm. His farm currently includes ten chickens. He grows tomatoes, peaches, apricots, cherries, plums and apples.
Karen works hard to reap a good harvest and cover the family's expenses. He has applied for this loan to pay for fertilizer and hire employees to start planting. The loan is very important for Karen to be able to increase his income.
He dreams of having a big farm and ensuring a better life for his daughter and future children.
