Esther is a married woman with five children, all of whom attend school. She owns a house that has electricity but not piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees.
For the past three years, Esther has operated a business selling fruits and vegetables from home. She faces a challenge of seasonality in fruits. She dreams of expanding her business to meet her customers’ needs.
With the KSHS 20,000, she wants to purchase fruits, green vegetables, tomatoes, onions and potatoes to sell. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
