Berta Lidia
Berta is a hardworking 33 year old woman, who works with her husband and her two small children in agriculture and raising and selling animals. Her two kids study at the primary school in different grades, and after they leave their school, they help their parents with different tasks in the fields and home. She was not able to study as a youth because her parents were quite poor and therefore decided to teach her how to work the earth and grow essential crops and other vegetables because that was a source of income in the past for her parents and now for her own family. Her goals are to educate each of her two children so that they will have a better quality of life and a more advanced level of education.

Currently, she is asking for help to purchase a solar panel, which she has yearned for, since in the place where she lives there is no electricity. She believes that these days one needs to have their home electrified, for many years that she has struggled to do her daily tasks by the light of store-bought candles and/or the light of a pinewood chip fire.

Her dream is to get up early in the morning and then press a switch to illuminate her humble home, for her children, it will also be a major change, since they will be able to study and extend their learning activities into the evening hours.
