Harriet lives in Kampala, Uganda. She is married with four children, and two of her children go to school. She has one additional family member (nephew). She operates a studio at the market on a retail basis. She has been in business for the last 13 years. She works seven days a week.
She has requested a loan of Uganda shillings 1,500,000 from MCDT – SACCO to buy camera cells (lithium batteries), film and envelopes. Her major business challenges are transportation and seasonality. Her goal and aspiration is to buy a better digital camera and video coverage machines.
She lives in her own house where the family has access to electricity but not to piped water. Her monthly expenses include medication, school fees and food.
