Patricia
Patricia’s single and has a school-age son. She lives in an apartment with a living room, bedroom, kitchen and bath. The apartment is brick with cement floors and is located in the city of La Paz’s El Rosario zone.

Currently, Patricia works as an employee in a private institution; she works in general customer relations and in the evenings works selling cosmetics of the Esika and Yanval brands. She works every day of the week in order to support and care for her family. She’s responsible for her son’s utility, food, dress and education costs. Patricia’s dream is being able to have a cosmetics shop and to help improve her son’s quality of life by means of his education. This is the first time she’s requested credit from IMPRO and KIVA.

Patricia es soltera y tiene un hijo un varón que está en etapa escolar, vive en un departamento donde cuenta con un ambiente y se encuentra el dormitorio y la cocina, baño, la habitación es de ladrillo y el piso es de cemento, la casa se encuentra ubicada en la zona El Rosario de la ciudad de La Paz.
Actualmente trabaja de empleada en una institución privada, se dedica a la atención al público en general y por las tardes trabaja vendiendo sus productos cosméticos de la línea de Esika y Yanval; trabaja todos los días de la semana, para mantener y cuidar a su familia, también se hace cargo del pago de los servicios, comida y vestimenta, y educación de su hijo.
El crédito lo requiere para aumentar su capital de trabajo al que se dedica en la comercialización de cosméticos y comprar más productos para ofrecer a sus clientes.
El sueño de Patricia es poder contar con una tienda de venta de cosméticos y ayudar a mejorar su calidad de vida a su hijo en sus estudios.
Es la primera vez que solicita crédito junto a IMPRO Y KIVA.

About IMPRO

IMPRO is a small non-profit organization that has been offering micro credit to the working poor in the Bolivian cities of La Paz and El Alto since 1995. IMPRO’s goal is to fight poverty by offering loans to small business owners who cannot access credit through the regular banking system due to a lack of guarantees or collateral.

To ensure that everyone has access to credit, IMPRO maintains a low interest rate by minimizing operational costs. IMPRO’s partnership with Kiva, which began in 2007, has allowed IMPRO to expand its services while maintaining these low interest rates.
