Aida lives in Kampala, Uganda. She is married with three children and all her children go to school. She has no additional family members. She sells charcoal at the market on both a wholesale and a retail basis. She has been in this business for the last 10 years. She works seven days a week. She has requested a loan of Uganda shillings 2,000,000 from MCDT – SACCO to buy bags of charcoal.
Her major business challenge is transportation. Her goals and aspirations are to buy a van for transporting charcoal from the village to the market, and also to build rental rooms. She lives in her own house where the family has access to electricity but not to piped water. Her monthly expenses include school fees and power charges.
