Romano is a 55-year-old married man with three children between the ages of 10 and 22. He sells bananas and has been in this business for six years with most of his customers local residents. Romano plans to use this loan to buy more bananas for sale. He faces the challenge of insufficient capital which prevents him from transporting the bananas to the market. He plans to use the anticipated profits to pay school fees for his children and start other income-generating activities. This is his first loan with SMEP DTM and he hopes to be a regional supplier in five years' time.
