Teopista lives in Kampala, Uganda. She is married with five children, four of whom are attending school. She has no additional family members.
Teopista sells old clothes from the market on a daily basis and works six days a week. She has run her business for six years.
Teopista has applied for 300,000 UGX to enable her to buy more bales of used clothes. She has no other source of income. The main challenge for her business is seasonality and thieves.
Her goals and aspirations include becoming a wholesaler and also to build on her plot. She rents the house she stays in, and the family has access to electricity, but no piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are school fees and rent.
