The "Los Unicos" communal bank is comprised of eight members, six women and two men. The president of the bank is Neidy, who's 34 years old. She has five children who are 15, 13, 5, 2 and 9 years old, and some of them are of school age. She makes and sells various types of pastries in a bakery. She owns a store located in the San Pedro area of the town of Santa Cruz. This is her first loan with the institution. Neidy will use this loan to bake cookies, empanadas and pies. The reason why she requests this loan is the lack of working capital. Neidy faces challenges in her business such as the local competition, and also the need to improve her living conditions. She'll use the profits to increase her production. She feels glad to have been given the opportunity to receive this loan, since this business is her only means of livelihood.

Neidy tiene 34 años y tiene cinco hijos que tienen las edades de 15, 13, 5, 2 y 9 años, que se encuentra en edad escolar, ella se dedica a la elaboración y venta de variedad de repostería en panadería, ella tiene su tienda que se encuentra en la zona de San Pedro de la ciudad de Santa Cruz, este préstamo es su primera secuencia dentro de la institución, La Sra. Neidy va a usar este préstamo para la para la elaboración de galletas, empanadas y tortas, su razón para solicitar este préstamo es la falta de capital de trabajo, La Sra. Neidy enfrenta retos en su negocio que son la competencia que existe en la zona como también la de mejorar su calidad de vida y va a utilizar los beneficios para incrementar su producción, se siente feliz por esta oportunidad que le brindan en la otorgación del crédito ya que esta es la única actividad que le permite mantenerse.

This is a Group Loan
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
