Wanjiku is a 51-year-old single mother with one child who is seven years old. She has been selling porridge for about six years and earns an income of approximately 4,000 KES a month. She is taking her first loan, of KES 10,000, from KADET LTD, and she wants to use it to buy wimbi (millet) flour, milk and sugar in bulk for making porridge. She hopes to open a hotel in the future and to give her child a quality education.
