Salim lives in Samburu, Kenya. He is married and has been blessed with six children, four of whom attend school. He owns a house that has neither electricity nor piped water.
For over ten years, Salim has operated a business of selling herbal medicine. He sells from home to those who are sick. He dreams of expanding his business and hiring people to help him in the business.
With the loan that he is requesting, he wants to purchase herbs for his business. He decided to join Yehu because of its favorable loaning requirements.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
