Teddy is married with two children, and one of her children goes to school. She has a business of selling local gin. She has applied for a loan of 2,000,000 Uganda shillings (UGX) from MCDT-SACCO to buy more jerrycans of local Gin. She has been in this business for 10 years, selling to all categories of people both on a wholesale and retail basis. She works from home seven days out of every week. Her major business challenges include thieves and seasonality. She aspires to sell on a wholesale basis only and also to get enough profits to build her own house. She resides in her own house, and the family has access to electricity and piped water. Her monthly expenses include rent and school fees.
