Rashid is 36 years old and married to Jira Kwekwe, who is a housewife. They have been blessed with three children, all of whom attend school.
For the past ten years, Rashid has operated a green grocery business, selling at retail to his neighbours and passersby. He also does farming, which earns him another source of income. He cited stiff competition from other vegetable stall operators as his major challenge.
With the KES 50,000, he wants to purchase an ox to be used in ploughing his land during plantation season.
He decided to join Yehu because the loan lead time is short and Yehu is responsive to customers' needs.
