Sergei grows vegetables on his land plot in the village of Vodyanoye. He has started farming 10 years ago. He lives in his own house with his wife and daughter. The income from his vegetable garden is stable. Sergei grows tomatoes, cucumbers, radishes. He is very hard-working: his farm is big and keeps growing.

Sergei turned to Kiva for financial support in the amount of UAH in order to buy fertilizers and pay seasonal workers. In the future Sergei would like to replace the heating system, replacing the boilers by more powerful ones. Sergei does not lose hope. In 2008, his harvest was low due to weather conditions, and he earned next to nothing. He had to work more and spend less, and managed to make up for the losses the following year.
