Thao was born in 1968. She has two children. The older son is a driver. The younger child is learning at high school. Thao and her husband wash motorbikes and cars to earn a living. Her family’s total earnings are about 11,000,000 VND per month.
Thao has participated in the Center of Small Enterprise Development Assistance (SEDA) credit program since 2010. In the last cycle, she borrowed 8,288,000 VND and repaid the loan on time.
In this loan cycle, Thao would like to borrow 9,632,000 VND to buy more machines for her job. She wants to raise her children well, so they can get a job in the future.
The Center of Small Enterprise Development Assistance (SEDA) is a non-profit organization whose vision is to create “a society without poverty.” Founded in 2004, SEDA provides microfinance services to low-income and disadvantaged people in rural areas of Hanoi and the northern provinces of Vietnam through its Binh Minh Micro-Finance Program.
