Janet is a 27-year-old woman who lives in the city of Nazca with her husband and their two small children. She loves her family very much and they are her biggest motivation in live. Janet is a very friendly, hardworking, and enthusiastic person who, alongside her husband, dedicates herself completely to helping her family get ahead. Unfortunately, due to scarce economic resources, Janet had to begin working at an early age and was not able to study a professional career as she would have liked to do.

In her free time, she enjoys listening to music. On special occasions, she cooks the delicious Lomo Saltado (sautéed beef tips) to share with her family.

By her own initiative and with much determination and dedication, Janet runs her own small grocery store. She works 10-hour days each day and believes that her success so far is due to the variety of products she offers and the kind way she treats her customers.

Janet is very grateful to Kiva lenders because this loan will help her to buy more shelving and soft drinks such as juice, water, and others. This will help Janet to display her products better and keep her store stocked. Janet plans to continue working hard to achieve her dream of owning an adequate and safe house that will keep improve her family's well-being.
