Bijuma is from Kisauni. She is married and her husband is a businessman. Together they have three children who all attend school and are dependent on her.
Bijuma has a store in her home with a well-established customer base. She is very hardworking and an excellent client of Yehu Microfinance. Her husband has a retail shop and the two of them help each other so that they can get ahead and so that they are able to raise their children. Bijuma is requesting this loan to buy sugar, noodles, flour, rice and other products to stock her store.

This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
