Daylil is from Migpange, Bonifacio, Misamis Occidental. She is 31 years old and married with five children. To make a living, she sells fish while her husband does the fishing. She has been in her business for five years and earns about PHP 5,000 a month from this activity. She joined GDMPC last year.
She is requesting a loan of PHP 6,000, which will be used to repair her husband's fishing boat. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve the general living conditions of her family.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
