Mwaka is a married woman, who has 8 kids that attend school. Her husband is a farmer and together they own a house that neither has electricity nor piped water.
Mwaka has operated a kiosk for the past 6 years. Her clients are ladies and gents in the area. She dreams of establishing a boutique in the future.
With the KES 20,000 she wants to purchase bundles of wheat flour, maize flour, beans, and sugar.
She decided to join Yehu to access financial support to improve her business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
