Thomas is married and has no children. He owns a house that has neither electricity nor piped water. His greatest monthly expense is food for the family.
For the past six months, he has operated a poultry selling business. He sells to his neighbors and passersby. His major challenge is the high cost of transportation to his place of operation.
With the KSHS 15,000, he wants to purchase chicks and chicken feed. He decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost his business and improve his living standards.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
