Zainabu is a married woman with four children, three of whom attend school. She owns a house that has electricity but not piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are household consumables.
For the past six years, she has operated a dry fish selling business, selling from home to her neighbors and passersby. She is asking for a loan of Kshs 30000 that she will use to buy more dry fish for sale. She faces a major challenge of seasonality in her place of operation. She dreams of expanding to be a wholesale supplier in the future.
