Raheli is married with seven children, two of whom attend school. She owns a house that doesn't have electricity or piped water.
She operates an open air food business, selling from her home to neighbors and passersby. She faces the major challenge of seasonality in her business. Her dream is to establish a restaurant business in the near future.
With this loan, Raheli will purchase wheat flour, maize flour, sugar, and rice. She decided to join Yehu to access loans in order to boost her business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
