Mary Jane is a 39-year-old, married woman from Carlos P. Garcia, Ubay Bohol. She has five children. The oldest is 16, while the youngest is 8 years old. Mary Jane is engaged in farming. She has been farming rice for more than 10 years. In addition to farming, Mary Jane engages in seaweed farming. She grows cultured seaweed.
She requested a loan of PHP 10,000. She will use the loan to buy fertilizers and pesticides for the rice, and to buy guso (seaweed) for culture. Mary Jane would like to expand her business, to support her family and at the same time send her children to school.
